Crash with highlight enabled and attempt to select a word

Description
The program crashes if I have highlight mode enabled and then I select the same highlighted word with the left mouse button and attempt to select the word with a sweep of the mouse. I suspect that the drawing of the highlight and the highlight that would result from the mouse sweep are conflicting. If you need more explaination please let me know. This is 100% repeatable.
